Tropical sunset in a pot!
If pretty leaves are your thing, then this is the plant that keeps on giving!
Derived from rainforest species native to South America, this exquisite plant unfurls glossy new foliage in starburst shades of copper, gold, and vivid orange before maturing into a lush, deep green.
Cultivation & Care
  • Family: Aracea (Aroid)
  • Growth style/Plant Type: An upright, relatively compact, self-heading herbaceous perennial producing its multi-coloured leaves from a tight central base.
  • Light: Thrives best in bright, indirect sunlight or filtered light.
  • Water: Water thoroughly when the top 3–5 cm of soil has dried out completely. Reduce watering significantly during the cooler autumn and winter months when active growth slows.
  • Soil: Requires an exceptionally loose, chunky, and well-draining potting medium. A mixture of standard potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark prevents waterlogged roots and rot.
  • Humidity/Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures between 18°C and 29°C. It must be protected from cold drafts and frost, as it struggles significantly below 13°C. It appreciates an elevated ambient humidity level of 50% to 60% or higher to prevent dry, brown leaf tips.
  • Plant Size: This listing is for a single, well established plant specimen of approx. 25cm-40cm. (14cm pot size equivalent)

The plants pictured represent our actual stock and are intended for illustrative purposes.
Due to the unique nature of each live plant, individual plants supplied may vary slightly in size, shape, and color distribution.
To minimise the risk of damage to the plant during shipping, all plants are meticulously packaged in protective packaging, wrapped in moisture retaining medium where appropriate and shipped bare rooted (without pots and soil) unless otherwise stated.
